THE Ministry of Education (MoE) is taking punitive measures against immoral acts in schools emphasising the need to protect children from abuse and ensure a safe learning environment.
Speaking in an interview with ZANIS, MoE Assistant Director Head of Communications, Kunda Mando says the ministry has implemented punitive measures to address incidents of immoral acts, including increased monitoring of boarding schools and disciplinary actions against those who break school rules.

“We encourage learners to speak up and report any incidents of abuse or immoral acts to their teachers or school administrators,” she added.
Ms Mando further said in order to adequately address the issue, the ministry calls upon stakeholders such as parents, teachers and community leaders to work together to promote good morals and prevent immoral acts in schools.
