UPND PARTY TO WIN NTUMBACHUSHI WARD WITH OVER 70% OF THE VOTES – NZOVU

Kawambwa – The Nangoma Area Member of Parliament and UPND campaign manager for NtumbaChushi Ward, Mr. Collins Ndovu, is confident that the UPND will secure a decisive victory in the upcoming by-election for Kawambwa Central.

Mr. Nsovu firmly believes the party will win with over 70% of the votes in this ward, citing the positive reception of UPND’s development-focused message.

Mr. Nsovu was speaking this morning at the UPND campaign center in Kawambwa in response to accusations from the Tonse Alliance, made at the UPND campaign center in Kawambwa, which claimed that the UPND is engaged in vote-buying.

He dismissed these allegations, asserting that UPND’s campaign is grounded in delivering real change to the people through its promises of free education, agricultural support, and social protection programs.

Ntumbachushi Ward, which has four polling stations, has seen active campaigning by UPND across all areas.

Mr. Nsovu emphasized that, unlike the opposition parties, which have been notably absent in key areas like Ntumba Chushi, UPND has made a strong presence felt through grassroots efforts. With approximately 1,500 registered voters in the ward, he is confident that UPND’s message will resonate and result in a clear victory.

Addressing concerns about election-related violence, Nsovu highlighted the peaceful atmosphere that has defined the ongoing campaign in Kawambwa District. Unlike past elections, where a heavy police presence was required to ensure order, this time the campaign has been largely free from intimidation.

Mr. Nsovu also made it clear that any form of violence, particularly against public officials such as those from the ECZ, will not be tolerated.

Mr Nsovu took the opportunity to criticize the PF for their previous record of corruption, violence, and poor leadership. He argued that unless the PF reforms and addresses its internal challenges, it will continue to lose support from the people.

Mr. Nsovu urged the opposition to focus on offering credible checks and balances rather than engaging in bitterness and divisiveness.

With the by-election necessitated by the incarceration of former MP Nikson Chilangwa, Nsovu’s message remains clear: the UPND is committed to unity, peace, and development, and with overwhelming support, they are poised to win Ntumba Chushi Ward.
