NOTHING FORMER PRESIDENT EDGAR LUNGU CAN DO TO APPEAR ON THE PRESIDENTIAL BALLOT – WYNTER KABIMBA
Opposition Economic Front (EF) leader Wynter Kabimba says there is nothing former President Edgar Lungu can do to appear on the presidential ballot following the Constitutional Court ruling. Speaking when he featured on the Thursday edition of the Burning Issue program, Mr. Kabimba said that, as far as the law is concerned, Plan B is far from meaning appearing on the ballot paper.
He added that it is not an easy undertaking for the ruling to be reversed by the court, given that the decision made thus far has been based on all applicable provisions of the law.
Mr. Kabimba also stated that there is a need to draw lessons from this eventuality, emphasizing that wrongdoing should not be rewarded.
Mr. Kabimba says the former president has also lost the qualities of statesmanship.
