TAYALI’S ALLEGATIONS DON’T MAKE SENSE – ACC OFFICIALS

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) say it is insane and immoral to waste time on unfounded allegations from Chilufya Tayali at the expense of following serious corruption cases.

The senior officers say they are busy investigating serious financial scandals at the Ministry of Health and government entities which directly affect Zambians negatively…

“There is no unique evidence which is there to warrant an arrest. If anything, these documents Tayali submitted here are the same documents which HH has and everything was done in a transparent manner,” she said.

“People shouldn’t just be excited with fake information they are given. It will land them in trouble. There are no unique documents there…You think President Sata and President Mwanawasa who hated corruption where stupid not to bring up this issue? They knew to well that this was a non-issue. So we won’t allow members of the public to abuse this institution to raise money.”

Tayali on Monday reported UPND President Hakainde Hichilema to the Anti-Corruption Commission-ACC-over the privatization of government assets.

Tayali has disclosed that he has reported Hichilema on allegations of owning a house in Lusaka’s Chelstone area and a farm in Kalomo.

He has also accused the UPND leader of being an identity fraud and that he will report him to the police soon.
