After failing to arrest PF cadres who blocked HH in Mpika, Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo has threatened to revoke trading licenses for all firearm dealers violating trading licence guidelines.

Kampyongo tells phoenix news that there has been a serious violation among gun traders in the country which has forced the Ministry to start inspecting all traders to ascertain their level of compliance.

The outgoing Minister says government takes gun ownership in the country serious hence the need to intensify monitoring of who owns the firearms especially ahead of 2021 general elections.

Kampyongo is confident that when closely monitored, the acquisition of firearms can prevent loss of life in the hands of disgruntled elements.

Meanwhile, Kampyongo has refused to comment on the PF CADRES who blocked HH in Mpika as can be seen on many pictures and videos circulating on social media.
